USA/ME: Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge

Maine is not just about coastal scenery, lighthouses, and endless lobster. The northern part of the state has some of the largest forests in the US. A big chunk is protected in Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge, the northernmost refuge in the continental USA. The classic northern landscape of rolling hills, lakes, marshes, and bogs is home to a varied flora and a lot of wildlife (although a quick exploration only yielded some fresh black bear poop). But there were quite a lot of late fall wildflowers and mushrooms.
