USA/ME: Portland Head Lighthouse
Another spectacular Maine lighthouse is at Portland Head, north of the city of Portland. Another absolutely stunning setting on a cliff overlooking the ocean with pebble beaches and craggy granite rocks all around – very photogenic! Built in 1791, it is the oldest lighthouse in Maine. Today, it’s fully automated.
