USA/PA: Erie

Driving west along the coast of Lake Erie, you cross from the state of New York and enter Pennsylvania (or a small piece of it that hugs the lake shore here). The town of Erie is another former industrial and now rapidly declining town, located half way between much bigger Buffalo and Cleveland. The town itself doesn’t have many attraction but the lake waterfront is beautiful with a tall observation Bicentennial Tower with panoramic views of the wild Presque Isle just offshore.
