Vietnam: Vietnamese Food Recap

Vietnamese Food is absolutely fantastic and perhaps one of my favorites. It’s light and fresh and full of raw vegetables and a lot of pork and beef and shrimp. No curries, no mind-numbing spices, no heavy sauces. The most ubiquitous is the pho noodle soup – beef with noodles and loads of fresh greens (seemingly every region in Vietnam has its own pho version). Vietnamese summer rolls are also awesome – fresh stuff wrapped in soft rice paper and never deep fried. Hoi An and Hue has their own local specialties, quite unique and different. And finally – the Vietnamese coffee is to die for: absolutely amazing strong and flavorful coffee blended with condensed thick sweet milk – slowly brewed hot or slowly brewed cold.
