Zambia/Barotseland: Liuwa Plain NP – African Reed Frogs

One of the first animals encountered after descending into the Barotse floodplain on our way to the Liuwa National Park was a colorful species of African Reed Frogs. All in all, there are over 150 species in Sub-Saharan Africa. The colorful yellow and red specimen we saw was most likely the Common Reed Frog or Hyperolius viridiflavus in Latin.
