Zimbabwe: Mama Pools NP – Zambezi River Landscapes

Mana Pools National Park lies along the lower Zambezi River, offering spectacular panoramas of the majestic river-scape and the Zambian hills across the river. Zambezi River is the fourth longest river in Africa, originating in Angola and flowing across Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique en route to the Indian Ocean. The river is the source of water and life for a lot of wildlife, thus making Mana Pools national park a true gem, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Hippos, elephants, crocodiles, hundred of various antelopes – all live in/near or come to the river. Everywhere you look – there’s movement of animals and even of greater number of birds. A true wildlife photographer’s paradise!
