USA/Alaska: Brooks Falls at Katmai National Park

If you have seen the National Geographic special on grizzlies catching salmon jumping out of the water – this is world-famous Brooks falls at the Katmai National Park. This is the place where you can see salmon jumping out of the water to go over the 6-foot (2 meters) high falls. Grizzlies stand on top of the waterfall and try to snatch salmon in the middle of the jump. It’s an incredible side and you can spot 20-30 bears at any given moment on or around the falls.
