China: Guangzhou – Huacheng Square

Huacheng Square is the heart of the Zhujiang New Town in the center of Guangzhou and is the most spectacular part. It’s more of a park complex then a square with stunning modern buildings and two very tall skyscrapers framing the central green area (the square was actually modeled on the Central Park in New York City. The two skyscrapers are known as Guangzhou Twin Towers and are the IFC (17th tallest building in the world) and the CTF (7th tallest building in the world). Besides these two, there are many other tall buildings, a historic bank, and super-ultra-modern Opera House, Guangdong Museum, and Guangzhou Library.
