Mexico/Tlaxcala: Tecoaque Archaeological Site

About an hour east of the grand Teotihuacan is another Mesoamerican Archaeological site – Tecoaque. This one has one rather small but interesting three-tiered circular pyramid while the rest of the site are ruins of buildings. At the times of Aztecs, Tecoaque was a fairly large town of about 5000 mostly high priests and had many temples. Not much to see here, although it is in the tentative UNESCO Heritage list.
