Russia: Moscow – Kitai Gorod

Kitay Gorod is the part of Moscow that roughly corresponds to the oldest part of the city. Dense and narrow streets here team with small but beautiful churches and other historic buildings. Kitai-gorod is famous for the highest concentration of religious buildings in Moscow. The Church of the Trinity, Epiphany Monastery, and several other are true masterpieces of  classic Russian architecture. The walls of Kitay Gorod used to be 6m high and 6m thick, but only a small part remains today.
