Timor Leste: Maubisse
Going inland in Timor you rise quickly from the sea level to 6000 feet mountain plateau. The gateway to the central mountain region is the historic town of Maubisse. The town has some remnants of Portuguese colonial architecture and a grand cathedral with panoramic views, but even better 360 views can be had from Pousada Maubisse – an old Portuguese estate set high above town on a hill.
