Austria: Tirol – Tirolean Towns
In the heart of the Tirol region in Austria lie several awesome towns – three of then even have “Tirol” in the name – St Johann in Tirol, Oberndorf in Tirol, and Kirchdorf in Tirol. And of course, Kitzbuhel itself (although a bit touristy and kitschy). Each town is centered around a gothic church dating back many centuries and a market square and then surrounded by traditional Tirolean houses with painted windows. Great après-ski bars and restaurants as well.
